Viospatia

Quality control in the auto industry needs precision measured in fractions of a millimeter. Viospatia built the system to deliver it.
Viospatia builds 3D measurement systems used to quality-assure components across the automotive industry, using cameras to generate 3D measurements through a technique the founders developed themselves in 2017 to speed up the photogrammetry process.
Founded by Mikael Sjödahl, Michael Fergusson and Per Bergström and based in Visby, the technology is now being put through a research project led by Sjödahl at Luleå University of Technology, testing it across five car manufacturers in Sweden, funded through the FFI program and running through 2020.
“Science Park Gotland has helped guide us to a working business model, advised us on securing financing, and opened up great networking opportunities. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support we’ve received over the past 9 months.”
